The Show

The Golden Age of Hollywood is the inspiration for our glam-filled evening on October 28th (7:00pm-10:00pm). What better concept to compliment the aesthetic of the historic Capitol Event Theatre? We have some amazing designs being showcased during our runway portion of the evening featuring fashions by Paper Bag Princess, Freda's, and vintage jewelry by Carole Tanenbaum. A special dance performance will be exhibited alongside some amazing lounge beats by our DJ.

Amidst all the entertainment, there will be food galore to satisfy the palettes of even the most discerning tasters. Wine, beer, and cocktail creations will be free-flowing, with a special NourishTea bar and Trucillo Espresso bar for those inclined to an alcohol-free evening. We will have stylists on-site to touch-up our beautiful attendees and make them feel like stars. We have many amazing raffle and marquee items up for grabs, along with some special swag that is beyond divine.

About Women of Baycrest

(excerpt from womenofbaycrest.com)

More than 70% of new Alzheimer's patients will be women but no one knows exactly why. Is it stress, hormones or something about the female brain itself? We need research to find the answers so that we can stay brain healthy longer and stay connected to family, friends and everything else that makes our lives meaningful. Women of Baycrest, as the catalyst for innovation in women's brain health, a new area in women's health, wants to fund this type of research.

Our objective is to raise $3 million to fund a new Research Chair at Baycrest in Women's Brain Health & Aging. Our research dollars will also support female brain scientists who engage in work that is relevant and sensitive to women's brain-health concerns.
